Trainability

The Yorkiepoo is active, fearless and loves attention. This small bundle of joy does well with children & most other pets. The Yorkiepoo enjoys being held & snuggled up close with their owners.

With the Yorkiepoo being such a small designer breed, it is important to watch for dental disease. Because of their small jaws, their teeth may become crowded. Other health concerns to watch for are:
• Eye Issues (Cataracts)
• Epilepsy
• Diabetes
• Fluxating Patella
All mixed breed dogs have a better chance of having less health concerns because of their genetic diversity.

Coat:

Their coat for the most part is hypoallergenic. The Yorkiepoos coat is fine, silky & curly and soft to the touch.

Coat Color:
The most popular colors in this designer breed is the black & tan and the red or mahogany with white markings on the paws, chest and/or face. Other colors are black, white, buff & parti.

Coat Care:

Daily brushing is required in this designer breed. Clipping every 6 – 8 weeks will also help maintain a healthy coat. As their fine hair grows out longer, it is more prone to collect dirt & dead hair causing knotting & matting.
