The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is a breed that they are not sure where it originated from. This breed has existed in Ireland for many centuries but that is as much as we know. This breed was used to guard the farm and it's animals. This breed came to the United States in the 1940's.
The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier was first registered by the AKC in 1973 and was grouped as Terrier.
