Temperament

The Boxador is energetic, non-aggressive, loving and highly intelligent. This designer breed enjoys the outdoors and loves chasing things. They do excellent with children & other animals, making them a great family pet.

Coat

The Boxador coat is usually short & dense but not wiry.

Coat Colors

The Boxador colors are black, chocolate, yellow, fawn, brindle and others. It is common to have a black mask and/or white markings on the face, feet, chest and tail.

Coat Care

Maintaining a healthy coat for a Boxador is relatively easy. Brushing 2 – 3 times weekly with a firm bristle brush will help maintain a healthy coat. Brushing more frequently during shedding season is recommended.

Health

The Boxador is a relatively healthy designer breed. Health issues to watch for are:
• Heart Conditions
• Cancer
• Hip Dysplasia
All mixed breed dogs have a better chance of having less health concerns because of their genetic diversity.

History

The Boxador is a designer breed created through the cross of the Labrador Retriever and the Boxer. The Boxador is recognized by the ACHC (American Canine Hybrid Club) and can be registered through IDCR (International Designer Canine Registry) and ICA (International Canine Association, Inc).
